The last time I registered a vehicle, I had a bill of sale signed by the previous owner and the people at the DMV said that wasn’t necessary. As long as that official form is signed stating what the buyer paid for it and it is signed by the SELLER, you are S.O.L. as far as saying it was a fraudulant sale. ---
