# Filter question.. a little odd

Well you can breathe a sigh of relief because I’m done not only with this thread but this forum. I don’t care if he’s my boyfriend or not…I would’ve done the same if I didn’t even know him. Other people can post in other people’s threads and not get a fucking word said to them (not going to mention any names). But when it comes to MonteCarloChick and anything to do with her… OOOOOOO let’s make our little nasty remarks known and have a big laugh. Get a fucking life and stop being so concerned on where I post and who’s threads I’m posting in. Jesus.
Can’t bring up an honest question without someone saying something completely stupid and not even trying to help the person who started the thread. Then the lovely bandwagon groupies come in and cheer along with them.

Airfilters all you need to know:
If it’s a street/race car, get the lowest restriction one you can
if its a drag car, throw out the airfilter
if its a “show car”, throw out the air filter with the car still on it

What a fucking surprise.
You UBRFers never change. I thought things were different here.
And god fucking forbid I ask a question, eclipsed.
I’d rather ASK and learn, than ASSUME and look like a fucking moron, risk damaging my car, myself, or someone around me.
BuickGN, perhaps COLORING may involve matching the filter to a color scheme, opposed to just grabbing anything off the shelf, considering filters I’ve seen only come in blue, red, dark red, green and black.
For someone being “older” you don’t seem at all mature.

You don’t seem to be adhering to these same expectations by egging people on in this thread.
I honestly expected this place to be a great forum, and now I’m seeing that those in charge of it are merely aiming to create a mirror image of UBRF.

I suppose you could get a K+N, clean it good and then see if maybe they sell some different color oils? Maybe? As far as I know it only comes in the purpleish/reddish color.

Actually, now that I think about it, maybe you could try some motocross air filter oil. I’m NOT SURE if it’s compatable with a paper filter or not, you’d have to research this. But I do know that their are lots of companies that make 2-stroke air filter oil. Again, make sure it is compatable with a paper K+N first, all 2-stroke air filters are foam.

I stated “word.”
As in, it is ricey.
As in, oil that you put on your filter only comes in red(pinkish actually) and clear.
As in, You put other shit on your filter, it may do damage.
I dunno, I just was using common sense, I guess I think differently than you do.
If you took my “:word:” as a direct insult and bullshit, I would kindly ask for you to take that stick out of your ass or, simply leave the forum.

Okay here’s my question: Who really cares what their stock air filter cartridge looks like while it sits inside of a black, opaque plastic box?
And if so, why? I don’t mean to make anybody mad it’s just a completely logical question. I mean I could see if you looked at it everytime you saw your car and said WOW that really matches pretty well sweet job, but nobody is going to.

if its cotton, you can probably use regular-ol-i-found-it-at-joann-fabric dye.
