Being an aircraft mechanic, I have to be (and like) being fanatical about damage from FOD (Foreign Object Damage/Debris). Until recently, I’ve used a funnel with a filter built in…kind of a pain in the ass. Stumbled across this on Ebay and got two of them. ![http://i41.tinypic.com/2dtkxj.jpg](http://i41.tinypic.com/2dtkxj.jpg) Installed ![http://i41.tinypic.com/wv48wy.jpg](http://i41.tinypic.com/wv48wy.jpg) Filtered down to 100 microns before it even his the tank! These things will pay for themselves due to saving wear on pumps/filters. Could also help prevent fuel pump failures (which could turn into engine failures) They are available on Ebay. Cool story over. ---

i used to filter out my diesel 275 gallons at a time. I still changed my in line every 10-15k…and my cp3 pump still blew up at 140k miles. ---

i like. when i swapped out my stock fuel pump for the walbro i found a bunch of shit sitting at the bottom of the pump housing and didnt like that. what would be a good option for someone who doesnt fill up with gas cans (for example the pump)? ---

Best option for that is getting a funnel with a filter in it, and fill from the pump thru the funnel ---
