A store clerk shot (and killed) a robber who held him at up at gunpoint.
And NO CHARGES FILED against the clerk.
Big thumbs up to our justice department on that call. :bigthumb:
If this causes even 1 person to think twice about robbing a store, its a good example.

it does happen. but not as often as we’d like to see. Self-defense has been so overused as an excuse that nowadays legitamate cases end up being prosecuted.

you cant just say self defense. If you articulate why you shot them, you have a much better chance. Like he came into the store and pointed a gun at me.

Exactly, the only difference between a cop and civilian are:
Cop: Can shoot if himself or someone else is in threat of death or serious injury.
Civilian: Can ONLY shoot someone if no retreat is possible.
