# fireplace andirons

has anyone ever re purposed fireplace andirons?

i have some antique iron owls, the cradle was pretty badly cracked up so i kept the owls and ditched the rest. they’re pretty heavy, a good 20 pounds each and around a foot tall. i plan to have them sandblasted and powdercoated a satin black or something.

i’m thinking of incorporating these things into some kind of rustic furniture…so ill be finding some rough cut to start building.

any ideas?

if those fit in a standard household oven @pirite can blast and coat those for you. I know he has some satin black around.
