I love race cars. I also love how people can call that ugly. Function over fashion, it is a race car now, not like someone is doing that to their a4 🙂

DTM is a “street” touring class. You used to be able to buy a 190E Evo, E30 M3 Evo II, etc and strip the interior cage it, and doing a few tweaks and you’d have the same car they had in DTM… I hate and I love the departure from the way it used to be.
What’s even better about the images you posted…
Anyone who’s ever watched a DTM race knows that within 5-10 laps most of that aero stuff will have been ripped off the cars. These guy’s drive like Spec Miata/Spec Elise/Nascar guys.

That’s the reason there are so many aero parts there… redundancy. Hopefully, some of it will survive to the end of the race.
