This luckily isn’t my car. My friend Clint back in CA did a solid launch and thought his clutch went out. I have never seen a center differential just break clean in half. ---

Epic. I didn’t post much about it, but the rear end in the Evo exploded late last season (Sept) from a 2nd gear roll. ---

I think it had to be a preexisting defect in the differential. His car made good power since it was a 2.3l 4G63 also running a Holset HX-35 but it was far from running 9’s. It was extra weird that this happened especially since his stock axles survived. ---

That, OR something else failed in the diff to cause that. It would take a tremendous amount of torque to shear that on it’s own in good condition. Definitely one for the books right there.
