# For a great cause...

Hi everyone!

I’m currently the chairperson for the first ever Out of the Darkness walk here in Buffalo, for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This will be held September 30th at 10am at South Park in South Buffalo (behind the Botanical Gardens).

After losing my dad to suicide in January of this year, I realized how much of an emotional rollercoaster a suicide survivor goes through.

I know many of you have been affected in some way by suicide, and I’d love to see some of you out walking for this important cause. Registration is easy, and you can do so online at: [http://www.outofthedarkness.org](http://www.outofthedarkness.org/)  
You can even create a team, and have a group walk together!
