# ? for all the track/drift stairs...

i mean STARS!
you are at a lapping day/solo event or drift practice/event, and you get in an accident with another driver. its not your fault, but not his either. just a “racing accident”. do you expect compansation from the other party?
for example:
for grippers
car 1 breaks early entering a corner. he is collected from car 2 who is close behind.
or for drifters
car 1 pulls a crazy 160kph drift. car 2 tries to follow and is successful. but hold on, car 1 fucks up and spins out in the middle of the track. car 2 hits car 1.
these are just examples. but all i know is i would not pay or expect to recieve pay from a track mishap. which is why i would probably never track any car i cannot afford to lose.
what do you all think?

I thought about this at DMCC (not that I was in it) but for that R34 GTR, what do you say to the guy when you smack into it, sorry just doesn’t cut it.
but assuming it was an accident and not on purpose, everybody takes the risk when they bring their car to the track, I think most events have waivers that are signed, so there are no legal battles.

Yup, can’t say shit. This is why I never understood how people bring expensive cars there, and how careless they are with them.
There was an STi that cut in and completely blocked my line forcing me to go off track once at Shannonville. I was pretty pissed at the time, but I thought about it for a bit, and came to the conclusion that I’m driving a $3000 car, and he’s driving a $50,000 car, so next time he tried that, HE ended up running off the track, and I just continued my line 😉
Generally speaking, if you’re considerate and don’t block people, shit like that will never come up. But it never hurts to have the cheapest car on the track haha

this why i dont drift with opther cars close to me…its not worth it …your mistake or theres…just try and be smart and careful is all you can do

as far as I’m concerned as soon as you get on the track any damages done by yourself or otherwise are solely yours to pay for. It’s a racetrack, people drive fast, people screw up, people crash, you know thing when you sign up. Solarian is right, if everyone drives smart then nothing should happen. Even then there is still a chance of something out of anyone control happening, like parts breaking.

I almost totalled a latest model bmw m-coupe at shannonville, it was doing good, so i figured i could get closer to it from behind, the next thing i know he brakes so hard and im locked up 4wheels heading straight for him, an inch closer and i would have ended his quarter panel/rear passenger wheel with my front rebar. When you go to the track, you risk your car, if you cant afford the risk, than dont go to the track unless you are willing to accept the consequences. And Im sure that guy in the R34 wouldnt write you a bill either, toyo would just buy him a new r34, not like they care, its a track accident. So when you are choosing which event to go to, make sure you have an idea of what kind of people you are getting close on the track with, just so you know what to expect.

you have no recourse…its accepted as part od being at the track…
no if you were a spectator and not actually on the track…thats another issue
