# for once, I tried something new

that most people would never get to do/try to do
instead of the normal hike in the gorge…
made it down the second set of stairs with the bikes, wasn’t too bad…
my partner in crime…per say
about 15-20 mins later we make it to the first set of stairs…pretty easy so far
made it to our goal, just upstream of the whirlpool…lots of flat rock to play with…my buddy jumping some ledges:
sorry there’s not more pics, was too busy riding and not falling over the edge lol…
carrying the bikes back up the stairs was a pain

I’m buying a mountain bike this summer.
I wonder where I shall ride it.
Looks fun. Last summer I had to go to UB to the DMV in North Tonawanda. Well, the sidewalk at Twin City Memorial Highway crossing the canal requires the use of stairs. Not really all that fun with a bike.

Marty brought one with him but ended up not really using it, was already too much to carry along with tools and extra tubes and such, we go prepared heh

I’ve hiked down there with fishing gear several times and hated lugging my small tackle box and stuff back up those damn stairs. Can’t imagine hauling a bike, especially after a day of riding around at the bottom.

spent all last year hiking down there, all winter working out as much as I could to prepare for this type of stuff, cant wait to do more!
the tops of my shoulders were sore yesterday from carrying the bike back up the stairs, other than that i was good!
