sorry if this is a stupid question but…this IS an actual apartment and not essentially renting a room in an undivided house…right? is there a separate entrance and everything? separate meters? etc?

yep you have a separate door that goes only upstairs, your own living room, bathroom, kitchen, etc. and yes all the meters are separate, except water which is included
