Any common problems with the 2002ish Ford Lightings?
I know the 5.4’s are known to have spark plug problems, anything else to look for or watch for on these?

i think the sparkplug issues are caused by improperly torquing the plugs and damaging the threads in the head. That is the only other input I have.

[www.modularfords.com](http://www.modularfords.com) has a Lightning section you can look through to find more common problems. From what I’ve heard they’re solid trucks though.

What happens is the AC drips condensation into the spark plug, causing it to rust out and blow out of the head.

That and ford didn’t put enough threads in the head.

I have owned a bunch of modular f150’s with no problems. Mine were all 4.6L cars, not 5.4L
