On the way home from work I was listening to Obama on the radio and he was giving “shout outs” to some people. I thought for sure this must be a recording from before this terrible event. After a minute or two of him talking he mentioned the shootings. I guess that is what great Presidents and great speakers do, give shout outs to your peeps while there is a tragic event involving the military unfolding. ---

He was finishing up some sort of speaking event with or to or about Native Americans or something…they cut over to him before it was completely done and then he immediately went into the press conference (example: Bush finishing story time with the kiddos after hearing news of 9/11).
