# Found broken glass in beer bottle

Last night I was enjoying a brew. On the last sip out of the bottle I felt a piece of material enter my mouth. (save the gay comments). I inadvertently bit it and it made a crunch. I pulled it out of my mouth to find a piece of broken glass 3/16" x 1/8". I checked the neck of the bottle and it’s not chipped from opening it. I may have ingested some pieces of broken glass-pieces that broke off the larger piece, or pieces I didn’t even notice. I’ve emailed the brewery about what happened, I can’t find a phone number for them. So now what do I do? I can’t even drink my problems away now. FML.

What beer company is it? I feel that even if you did ingest some broken glass, the odds of it causing a real problem are limited.
I think it is more of a waiting game for you now. You documented it with the email and this post. Sit back and see if you start pooping blood.

Wow… what kind of beer?
As for advice… Call your doctor maybe? “I might have ingested some broken glass” doesn’t really seem like a problem I’d ask car guys.

If the broken glass went into the intake of your Civic engine, this is the place to ask. If it went into the intake of your body… not so much.

It was Dundee Octoberfest… So, if anyone is drinking it, you might want to filter it first.
I guess this is funny at this point… We’ll see if I’m still laughing in 24 hours.

Thanks for the heads up because I’ve been drinking a lot of that since the Octoberfests came out.

this happened to a friend of mine and soon after he began puking up blood…freaked us out.
But i guess it either came out or passed through.
We say it passed though, he of course says it came out the top end

when some bottles broke at Sam Adams bottling plant they took no chances and recalled them asap. I think that was last year, either way if it wasn’t big enough to notice when you swallowed it I don’t think it could do much damage

Did you save any of the glass from said bottle, may want to find it in your poop. Your gonna need to prove that this happened from the beer company’s bottle etc etc…
