# Found this in my bath tub... Any spider experts here? My girlfriend found this in our bathtub tonight… scooped him up and threw him outside (with a plastic tub of course), but I’m having trouble identifying him - I think it may be some type of wolf spider. Super gross. It was on the ceiling and i couldnt get the penny close enough. I was scurred. I get these all the time, and i hate em so much. Ha ha I notice you are using something to hold the coin so your fingers don’t get too close … just kidding man I hate all things creepy crawly and wage war against them with a passion. And you are right … what is up with carpeted basements attracting these guys … and they walk around like they own the place??? ---

looks to me like the coin is just sitting there? :? (edit: nm, you’re talking about the second coin picture) as for the carpeted basements comment, i get those bugger centipedes all the time and we have ceramic tile in the basement. ---

Yeah, a carpeted basement will attract more of these centipedes. Even with ceramic/wood floors you might get a few. I used a wrench to hold the penny up. I’m scared of it jumping on me. ---

i’m pretty sure centipedes can’t jump. they crawl pretty fast, and climb up walls, but i’ve never seen one jump before. ---

Yeah I have seen a few of the second thing in my basement. Don’t like em, give me the willies.
