Very nice. Looks like the other person was doing more work than you though. 🙂 Is the exterior a covered porch? When we had our basement french doors installed the exterior was bricked so we had to deal with fixing the soldier course, and the door had to be special ordered because of the depth. ---

just remove the stove? :dunno: It looks like you have a forced air system beside it, so take out the stove and make a wall around the forced air with a closet door on a side that isnt seen much? ---

The stove is ducted in to the central air…I get alot of free fire wood and do not wish to loose the stove. I am framing in and hanging drywall around the forced air and stove together but would like to make the face of the stove come through the drywall to continue use. I have been thinking about trying my hand in some brickwork around it but like the look of stone better…just not sure about how to do this and not create a fire hazard ---

If there is no return air to the stove, I dont think a room being framed around it is a very good idea.
