It amazes me how many people are fully prepared to give up their rights just because they are asked to. It’s a matter of personal freedom, it’s a lot bigger then his bag, this country is turning into a lot of spineless yes men that never question authority, and THAT is a very bad thing. I wish this man would have went through with his suit, but I can understand why he chose not to, despite the ‘bargaining chip’ used by the city. ---

You do realize the “bargaining chip” used by the city had to do only with him agreeing not to sue the city on civil rights violations stemming from him being arrested for not producing a drivers license. He is still free to attempt recovery of some sort from Circuit City for their actions, which I don’t think he addressed in his recent update. (which if CC has even mediocre representation he will most likely lose IMO) ---

I’m pissed that he backed down too. If you’re not going to do it right, just show the license and be a sheep like everyone else. He didn’t prove anything, except maybe that individual rights aren’t really that important to him or to our government. ---
