I just bought a pair of $650 (got em for less online but still) ice skates so I need to sell a couple things. First up is my snowboard; Lib Tech Magne Traction 156.
Magne Traction technology; serrated edges. A traditional board has 2 points of contact on its effective edge. Magne traction has 7 (serrations come to a point -7 points per effective edge). This means you have a lot more control on ice, and you can ride base heavy and be much less susceptible to catching an edge. Great for pipe (walls are icy). Great for park (kids de-tune their edges so they don’t get caught on rails, but because of the mag it still has a lot of control doing regular riding). Great for just riding.
This particular model was offered to shop employees only to get people riding mag. Guess what; it worked! Magne traction was ours, as well as many other shops top selling boards. 2nd best selling company in most parts of the nation, and the best selling in the northwest (according to transworld business 07-08).
I have ridden this thing maybe 5 times. I seldom get to ride, I had been in school. I spend 4 or so days in vermont every year, but that’s at a demo and they always give you next years boards to ride.
This board has just received a fresh tune (done by moi) and I do that ish the right way. 1 degee beveled edges, hot wax, water channels, blah blah blah.
The board is in perfect condition, with no knicks or marks of any kind. I took a couple pics of the base to show how perfect it is. literally not a single gouge.
$200. firm as a cock at a strip club.
I was gonna wait til next year but I need the cash for these skates, and I know it will be no trouble selling a like new mag for 200 bucks.
