# FS: 1996 VW Jetta GLS

I’m getting rid of the current DD, it would be perfect for someone who is looking for a winter beater and is willing to put in a little work.
1996 Volkswagen Jetta GLS
Gold with tan cloth interior
138,000 miles
2.0L, 5 speed (mmmmm…fuel economy)
The good:
-New brakes (front pads and rotors, rear shoes)
-Replaced emergency brake cables last year
-Newer tires (2000 mile, General all season)
-Just replaced plugs, wires, dist. cap, rotor and coil 3000 miles ago
-Fresh oil change \<100 miles
-New rear wheel bearings \<1000 miles ago
-Aftermarket Aiwa head unit
-Starter replaced last year
-Water pump replaced last year
The Bad:
-Rust on the front of the hood
-Rusted through pass side rocker panel (3"x6" hole)
-Needs passenger front and driver rear window regulators
-Missing lock cylinder from driver door (still locks and unlocks from pass side)
-Cat is clogged and exhaust manifold is leaking from flex joints (i have another working cat and manifold that will come with car)
-Needs Oxygen sensors to pass inspection
Now I know the blue book value is $2400ish in fair condition so I figured I would start out asking half. $1200 obo

this thing is a beast, glad you finally got to upgrade your dd though man!
