# FS: 1998 Impreza RS, turbo+STI bottom end

I recently bought this car from a fellow NY’er but am having some legal issues and other crap that are eating up my time and money preventing me from putting the work into this car that I had intended to.

The engine was recently broken in by a professional shop, dyno tuned, and given a compression test. Print outs of everything are available.

It recently made 250hp to all 4 wheels

Body:  
JDM/99RS front bumper  
Aluminum hood  
No rust  
120k miles  
no dents  
some fading paint, scuffs, scratches \<$200 to have touched up  
20% tint

Interior  
Sparco seats with sliders  
egt, boost, oil pres, afr, fuel pressure gauges  
WRX steering wheel

$1k+ alarm with integrated turbo timer and remote start

\*\*The ONLY “bad” on the car is the paint scuffs and the fact that the Link Plus ECU does not operate the OBD2 port, but I have options for potential buyers and could have it working before purchase.

All in all its a great looking, powerful, and a reliable car that can be used as a daily driver. I was planning on completing the motor with all STI goodies (heads and such) allowing me to toss on an ECS merged harness and run a flashed ECU that would pass inspection.  
The next owner doesn’t have to do anything like that and they could drive it as is, but putting that work into it would add to the value of the car anyway.

taking offers. I’ll put it in perspective though.

A stock RS with no rust and sub 100k mileage will sell for $7-8k  
A RS with a low mileage STI engine but stock trans with a moderate body sell for $12-13k

hard to say, I don’t have documents for parts purchased online such as the axis stage 2 short block… I do have dozens more including oil changes, alignments, audio/alarm installs, previous tuning… Granted lots of the stuff isn’t on the car anymore (intake back in 99, super charger in '00…)

Sounds good. and FYI to those interested. I have a built PPG transmission which had a problem. I just had it checked out and it was a very minor issue being taken care of this week.

It can also be included with the car for the right price…

Turbonetics t3/t4 Turbo w/ported inlet housing  
Rallispec/dentsport custom intake with pipercross filter.  
Manual Boost Controller  
USDM sti injectors  
Rallispec upipe, wrapped downpipe.  
Stock headers with EGT-probe tapped  
Tial 38MM External Wastgate (w/ dumptube into dp)  
Rallispec Custom Intercooler for 2.5RS

so now lets review prices here.

20k car  
1.3k wheels  
408 tires  
5.2k turbo kit  
3.1k block  
500 jdm bumper  
250 suspension kit  
250 jdm fog covers  
110 jdm front grill  
220 lip  
500+ tuning

So without counting the sparco seats, EMS, paint work, labor, alarm/remote start, BRAKES, hubs, strut bars, bushings… with out all that we’re at **$32k**

So when I ask for 12k that’s depreciation of **over 62%** on a RARE car, in RARE condition, with RARE parts, and MORE power than an STI.

how much you looking for the tranny / rear end alone. My wagon might be able to use a setup like that. What LSD in the rear?
