# FS: 2001 Ford Focus ZX3

Up for sale is my old daily driver. A few members here have been in this car and can vouch for it. Nick (focusinprogress) has done some work on it for me.
Price is $2,000
133,2XX miles
5 speed manual
power windows
power mirrors
power doors
16" alloy wheels
cd player
factory passive alarm
non-smoker
black ext/ grey int
car is completely stock, no modifications whatsoever.
I have owned this for 2 years now (I bought it at 108k). It has been a very reliable car and gets very good gas mileage (~26 city, 30+ highway). Right now costs about 20 bucks to fill it up and you get over 300 miles to a tank. Reason for the high mileage is I drive it to school every day (25 miles each way), and the owner before me drove it to Syracuse for work.
the good:
-starts up every time, idles fine, perfect running condition
-interior is spotless and freshly detailed. there is only rip on the drivers seat (common problem for focuses), and a scratch on the center console
-clutch grabs perfectly fine
-4 BRAND NEW (\<1k miles) all season Nexen tires installed by Swerve last month
-heat works great, and warms up fast
-exterior is in good shape aside from rust near the hatch, and near the antenna. no dents or anything, just some dings (it is a 7 year old car)
-its a hatchback (thats always a plus)
the bad:
-the CEL is on due to a leak somewhere in emissions. for inspection ive just reset it, as it takes a week or two for the light to come back on.
-it will need new front rotors after winter
It is a clean car, and has never broken down on me. It is already to go for the winter. The only reason why I am selling it is because I just purchased a WRX, and no longer need this. Car is in williamsville, and it is being taken off the road this weekend. Price is flexible, I need a quick sale.

excellent car, I wanted to buy it but got laid off monday so now I can’t swing it. I’ve done a bunch of the work on it and I could probably find/fix the evap issue that’s causing the CEL, or reset it for you every couple weeks lol. (potential buyer that is).
I am cheap labor and know-how on the focus 😉 lol.
car drives smooth and is a great daily. new wheel bearing on driver’s rear (very common issue on focus’s for rear wheel bearings)

there has been some kind of quirk with the evap system on the car, the gas cap was replaced and then it was fine for like 3 months, then I replaced the evap canister, it was fine for a month, so there has to be some kind of leak somewhere else or a bad sensor. I can pull the codes and look into it for the buyer if need be

yeah, it has to be reset a week in advance, then it meets readiness, then a week or two later it comes back on. its a bit strange

it blue books for $2700. it hasnt lost THAT much value. He just sold it for mad cheap because he needed it gone, hence two days and its sold.
