Up for sale is a 396 Engine I received when I bought a 68 Chevelle.Guy I sold the Velle to is putting a 454 in it so didn’t want the 396. Came out of a Chevelle or Caprice.Was running fine when removed. Engine is disassembled Has a steal crank that is in nice shape. Heads had some work to them at Spina’s( told port and polish) Have new in box .40 over pistons and originals Have new in box lifters and bearings and originals. Rest of the original parts are there(oil pan,intake,etc) except cam. Guy says the block was stucturally checked and would guarantee it so take that what it’s worth.He was building it and ran out of $$$. $750 and can deliver locally. Thanks Derek 628 3448 ---

Update---- Ran the #'s today. Block is a 310HP 396 out of a 68 Pickup which I told is better as it is stronger. Heads are 65-67 Time frame and came on the 396 and 427 blocks and \are the 390HP ones!!!They are oct. port and closed chambered with screwed in studs I was told. Crank is steel as previously mentioned.Was told it was worth it all day long what I’m asking for it ---
