“SOLD” I have a 24" Ariens snowblower that I am looking to get out of the garage. The motor and drive runs great, but the auger needs some repair. It seems as though a key has broken in the diff, but due to years of neglect from previous owner, I cannot separate the auger from the shaft in order to get the diff apart. I used the blower for about 5 years with no problems prior to this broken key. I assume that an acetylene torch and some massaging could get the auger off the shaft, but I don’t want to mess with it anymore. I do have the original manual and a few spare belts for it. My guess is that inside the auger gear box the Worm Gear is stripped in it. It’s a common issue. I may even have the part BNIB from a snowblower with the same issue I decided not to fix. ---
