T28 is a hybrid already of a T2 and a T3 turbo…
And it’s a total no-name… the only name written on it is “TURBOCHARGER”, you’d trust your engine to that?

was bored on my lunch break here so I did a quick search as well as made a quick phone call to a local shop which is a supplier for Garrett and he told me he could match this price… [http://www.importperformanceparts.net/imports/turbospec-garretts.html](http://www.importperformanceparts.net/imports/turbospec-garretts.html) ($599USD) as well as taking in the old blown turbo as a core and subtracting a bit of money (but said he had to get back to me on how much exactly).
So yea… $599USD for a Brand New T25 from Garret.

Hey Jedi, thanks a lot for posting the link. I appreciate it.
I was pretty sure myself that it is impossible to find a T25 for $380 CAD. Cause if I could, I woulda bought one myself already.
Anyways, boost, I don’t mind if you bash my thread, but please get the right info first. If you think $130 is too much, then don’t post.
There’s a lot of other threads where people are asking a shit load of money for used cluthes and KA24DE engines.
Go post in there instead. Now GTFO, thanks.

the rebuild kit is roughly that much, but the labour will be more depending on where you go and the actual condition of your turbo. most turbos that have blow-by (leaking oil) are due to worn out hotside piston rings or the shaft grove is worn out. not all turbos can be saved (rebuildable).
if you goto Bramall Turbo in markham, you spend about $180 after tax for:
- balance and clean shaft and turbine (can skip that if desired)
- clean bearing housing and machine seal
- machine shaft ring grove
- new oversized piston ring (the one from your rebuilt kit won’t do the job)
and all that does not include disassembly and putting it back together. if you wanna drop off a t25 to bramall and have them take care of everything, it will be $500… a new t25 is $700 the last time i asked
so if you want a brand new ‘rebuilt’ turbo done by yourself, you’re set back about $100 plus $180 and the cost of your core
if anyone want an idea on how to rebuild T25’s, i can send you some pics of my rebuilds

So pretty much, based on what you’re telling me. For you to have a good deal on a T25, I might as well pay you around $150 to take my turbo.
Paying $25 for it is already a huge setback I guess.
Btw Martini, do you actually take your turbos to that place to get it rebuilt? If so,
