Don’t know if any of you guys are aquatic/herp enthusiasts. I used to be until I got involved in cars and bought the Z. Anyways, just thought I’d put it out there and see if any of you guys are interested. All prices on the “major” stuff are OBO. i’ll let my uncle know about some of this stuff, it all looks like egyptian carvings to me, but he’s really into his fish. maybe you got some stuff he can pick up for cheap. ---

Nope, they’ve long since been sold. The tank is empty and just sitting around. ---

I had it setup as a freshwater system for a year or so and then went all out and did a reef system. As awesome as it was, I spent over 5k on the setup with chemicals, fish, supplies and whatnot. I could’ve got myself a nice TT if I had instead saved that money. Anyways enough crying, lol. Few things to note- I traded the filter that you see in those pics for a Magnum canister filter. Canister filters are THE shiznit when it comes to filtration, but cleaning them is a PITA so if I can find the Magnum canister filter, I’ll just throw it in with the sale of the 46g tank. The protein skimmer isn’t pictures in those pics because the pics were taken when the tank was fresh water and protein skimmers are only for saltwater applications. I’m looking through my photobucket to see if I can find the saltwater pics that show the skimmer. Any other questions, just ask. edit-Oh and also, the ornaments may or may not be included with the tank. I honestly don’t remember if I kept them or if I threw them out. If I do have them, I’ll throw them in as well with the sale of the large tank. ---

:wow impressive. I didn’t realize the tank was for sale as well, that’s what I was looking for originally. I know it might be a little more complicated, but I would separate the list for the people who are not into tanks or fishing but would like to get into it (like me). Which of the stuff would be needed to be bought with the tank to get the very basic setup going to support the fish? What would be the price of a “starter kit” from you? It would sure help the browsers. ---

As for a starter kit, it depends on your intent with the tank and what kind of fish you plan on keeping. Saltwater is the more complex, in depth and expensive route so I don’t recommend starting out that way. I would go with a nice freshwater setup. For a simple freshwater setup, all you really need is- 1.The Tank 2.Canopy(Hood)/Light 4.Filter 3.Gravel 4.Ornaments(Pseudo is better for starters than real) 5.Correct Food 6.Water Dechlorinate(Simple chemicals, sold in bottles) 7.Test Kit [8.Net](http://8.Net) 9.Gravel Vacuum 10.Bucket Off the top of my head, I’d say probably close to $250 for starter supplies from me. Only thing that I can’t supply you with is gravel and a bucket. Again, I’m not sure if I have the ornaments so thats a maybe. So basically for $250 you’d get 1.46 gallon Bowfront Tank 2.Hood w/ striplight and bulb 3.Double Biowheel filter with one carbon element cartridge(filter replacement cartridge. The filter I’m selling takes two) 4.Foods and chemicals(I’ll be generous with what I give.) 5. 2 used test kits. 6.A net 7. An enormous gravel vacuum. I don’t know exactly how long it is but I know I paid roughly $70 for that damn thing.lol I had to duct tape another hose to it because I think it snapped or something, cant remember to be honest. Its been a while since I’ve used it. ---

That looks like a great deal. I always wanted a fish tank, but was never going to have enough time to get everything together so I’m considering this. Between electricity and fish food and filters, is there any other usual, regular upkeep that needs to be done? What’s the monthly cost of having a half a dozen fresh fish setup? ---

Its the thing on the left with the air pump on top of it. The thing in the middle(two black pipes with tube attached on the right) is a UV sterilizer thats already been sold. The thing to the right that the tube connects to is a powerhead. I have one for sale. They move water and make current. ---

Well I live at home with my parents so I wouldn’t know about electric costs. It can’t be much, all you’re powering is a small electric motor or two in the hang on filter and the lights whenever you decide to use them. If the room the tank is in gets too cold, you’ll be powering a small electric heater as well. The only maintenance costs are: food, dechlorinate, filter cartridges,tap water for water changes and maybe medicine(I’ll throw in what I have). Thats all that I can think of for a freshwater setup. ---

Sweet reef set up. I had a 20 gallon one where I used to live but I left it behind for my roommate when I moved out. When I get moved into my new place I want to do a 55 gallon set up. Good luck with the sale! ---

I have a small 10 gallon tank and I have this bad ass cichlid in it. He’s a little monster and i’ve had him for 2 years now. I had to take him out of my big tank when I had that because he kept killing everything in it. ---
