# FS/FT: Clean 91 Civic Hatch with MPFI swap

well the time has come to THINK ABOUT selling the hatchback. its been nothing but awesome to my girlfriend and i in the year we’ve owned it.
little history… we bought it on ebay, sight unseen from a guy in cape cod, mass. it was 100% bone stock, and automatic, but it wasnt going to be auto for long. since then i’ve modded it a little. heres a rundown.
1991 civic dx hatch 155k orig D15b2 motor.
no oil burning, perfect compression.
MPFI conversion
95 civic ex (D16z6) intake manifold/TB/injectors
91 PM6 ecu
91 Si distributor
90 civic LX cluster with tach and proper redline and actual car mileage.
cut factory springs
96 civic HX wheels
185/60/14 falken ziex 512 (60% front, 40% rear)
VW Jetta/Golf lip modded to fit
propped OEM wing
dual bend short shifter
ES shifter bushings
5-speed swap
stock, good 89 dx clutch/flywheel
89 DX trans (grinds in 2nd and 3rd if you abuse it)
you CANNOT tell it was ever an auto. the 5 speed swap is flawless. it has an auto cluster
stock blue interior with hatch cover w/6x9s installed.
interior is a 9/10, no rips in the seats.
stock header, stock cat, stock exhaust in great shape, stock airbox w/o resonator.
car gets 36-38 mpgs combined highway/city and is very quick for a stock 1.5
it has VERY little rust, and is a very rare/uncommon color. the rust is at the bottom of the drivers 1/4 panel, the upper wheel wells are very solid. its a 91 so it has factory painted bumpers.
i would like $2k for the car or would trade for a very close to stock 92-95 civic sedan/coupe or stock integra. i dont HAVE to sell it. its reliable and gets my gf back and forth to work and class every day. she drives it almost exclusively, as i DD my GSR.
ONE OTHER THING, you will not find another 5 speed EF hatchback for sale with power steering. im serious, the hatchback was not offered with a 5 speed and power steering, this has it because it was originally auto.
only real problem is the a/c condensor seeds to be changed and the a/c recharged. plus its got some dings and scratches, which is be expected from a car thats 1almost 17 years old.

damn this thing looks cleaner than my old ef, until you popped the hood, then it looks like a nightmare. haha glws tho man, this thing is ready for a decent swap. the lip looks good though, i just never got around to putting one on mine before i sold it.

actually, its not nasty under the hood. its much much cleaner than in those pics, and the white balance is off in the pics, so it brings out the surface rust on some of the brackets and such.

i actually sold one last year, and the other one i had, i sold about 3 years ago. i always seem to get stds, but i always eventually get rid of them

i dont have any pics currently…1991, dx, 4 speed stick, pretty rotted around the corners, power blue roof, half-assed flat black rest of it, 98K miles, burns about a gallon of oil a month 🙂
