yea, IF you’re eligible for the upgrade, and want to sign up for a 2 year contract. if so, i advise you do it, it’s a good deal. i paid alot more than that. and yes it also requires you to sign up for the $40 a month data package i believe.  
If you went to verizon and wanted to buy this phone with no contract extension its $519 last i checked. not including, charging dock, 2 extended batteries like i’m including
