For sale i have a almost brand new GT2871R .86 turbo that has been modified for an external gate. With it will be a stock exhaust manifold that has been ceramic coated for an SR20DET and a 40mm HKS external wastegate on top. It will also come with a Greddy turbo extention. This set-up has about 2000-3000 kms on it and it has run very well for me. It should around 400WHP on an SR with the correct supporting mods Manifold, gate, turbo ext, all lines, and an intake pipe and turbo i am asking 1800. Basicly its everything needed to bolt up to an SR, down to the last hose clamp. any performance difference by making this external rather than the internal it was? ---

The external will flow alot more and it get rid of ANY boost creep that is normal associated with internal gates on the .86 housing ---

External gates usually free up some exhaust gasses and alow for more power. As far as boost creep goes …Its negligable on small turbos like this, the gate sounds mean as hell when it opens on RS13’s car. ---

Whats the reason for selling? How nego is the price? Does the wastegate have a dump pipe? ---

If i part out i already have the gate sold. But i do not want to because the turbo will not be worth alot with a welded shut internal gate. You will have to buy a new exhaust side and HKS flages for their gates are not that cheap. Reason for selling is that i spun a rod and i am probably not going SR again ---

Bump. The wastegate does have a dump. About 6 inches to where the turbo ext meets the downpipe ---

More Pics, Comes with EVERYTHING you see in the pics, Lines, Greddy Turbo Ext, Oxygen sensor ETC, The only thing you need is about 4 inches of oil return hose because i cut it to take it off. is the wastegate a real HKS and the wastegate pipe right now vents to atmosphere right? ---

Yes the gate is a REAL HKS. Its the 40mm And yes at the end of the heat wrap is the end of my dump tube. Made my tranny all black as i was running 10 to 1 afr ---

Some more pics at the request of people. The welding was done by a ticket’ed b-pressure gas welder with about 7 years of welding experience all over alberta.
