Unfortunatly yes, however I hear rumors that they could easily be converted over for Left-Hand Drive with minimal modification.

Actually I had nothing to do with this, I was just asked to type up a wonderful description.
Personally I’d imagine it’s for optimal balance to make up for the fact that the other “keys” are longer.
