Hey Andrew I’m interested in how this functions when wired in?
I assume its wired into the door trigger/interior lighting but then does the ring go out as soon as you close the door or does the ring stay on for a few seconds. I cant think of a source of power to tap into that remains on after getting in the car w/o the key in the ignition :S If its plug and play that’s pretty sick

Hey man, You are correct in that you either tap into the door or the ignition. But like you said, it’s either going to be on when the door is open, or on when the car is started. If you were electrically inclined you might be able to work out some sort of power switch and tap into both. But as it stands, one for power, one for ground.

If someone with some electrical experience can shed some light on the topic id be for sure interested, some kind of 12v timer that remains giving power 15 seconds after the door switch is closed. I don’t know of such a thing but one defiantly exists

you woudl wire in a capacitor, that would take power from the door and once power was lost, they capacitor woudl provide enough power to run at least another specified period of time depending on its size.
