The 304L stainless is different then the typical SSAC stuff that gets purchased.
304L precipitates less carbon during the welding process and thus is much more resistant to rusting, but has almost exactly the same properties of regular 304.
While its cheaper then 321 and 316, this is the best choice in metal for a manifold, as you will have a very hard time finding 316 and 321 let alone a manifold specific for your car made from it.
Clearly this guy has be welding for a while, as double welding, and back purging are to increase strength and minimize contamination of the welds.
Given the choice in metal, and the quality of work and processing that I can seen, this is a piece on equal to Full Race…

Yeah the schooling helps… but I also very much enjoy learning about metals, and so the combination of having the information available and wanting to learn about them makes them sort of my specialty :).
Who knows maybe I’ll specialize in materials some day.
Anyways back to the thread, I’ve spoken to Jay, and there are not too many people like him. He’s incredibly professional, and very bright.
Edit: I forgot to mention that he’s built manfiolds for some people racing in CASC.

How close does it come back to the head of the motor, Basicly is there a pic of it on a motor?

it would sit like this on the enigne…not the best pic but gives you an idea…
^that is a setup done earlier but for a differnet wg

wow that looks awesome, the welds look great, the setup above looks amazing with the downpipe.
$625 is a very reasonable price. keep up the good work
