# Fs/trade 1989 Merkur Xr4ti Turbo $600

I just dont have the time for all the projects I have . 1989 Xr 110k, auto, black leather , sunroof , all power ,newer tires and brakes . It is a driveable project . It has many of the minor repairs these cars need like the rear hatch latch doesnt stay latched . There are some cracks in the turbo manifold that is very common . The drivers outside door handle broke replacement included . will need a exhuast soon its getting loud . The body is pretty clean some surface spots but nothing unexpected. The paint blows. Probably some other junk Im not thinking of . It was on the road last summer . I am just not interested in spending the summer working on cars anymore and this one is last on my list . I have kids that want to get into riding 4 wheelers and that sounds like more fun. I would sell it outright for $800 . I would also consider 4wheeler or dirt bike trades I possibly would throw in some cash for the right trade. I can email some mre pics . Thanks

As far as I can go $600 for just the car I fixed the door handle and the extra parts are on ebay now . If she doesnt find a home for this price it will sit till I do have time to work on it .

its fords attempt to bring a european feeling car to america. it was ranked one of car and drivers 10 worst cars made, but i LOVE them! there were 2 of them in the U-pull it yard in cleveland, so they’re out there. parts might be a little difficult to find, but there is a very active forum for them. had a good talk with a few owners at all ford nationals in carlisle. this is a killer price for one if it isnt in very bad condition. i’d buy it in a heartbeat if it was a manual. these are very unique and turn a lot of heads

Then dont say no say yes . Most people dont have a clue about these cars I guess thats why its still sitting here . I did spend some time on it today the door handle is replaced and oil changed . I put it up on the ramps to look at the loud exhuast and decided to change the oil . There is a hole at the bottom of the down pipe its small now but it looks original . the turbo also has a good bit of play in the shaft I took a look at it today so she is smoking a bit until she warms up . Like I said a driveable project .
