I have NEVER used one of those things and I’ve been doing PC repair for almost a decade and XBox repair for probably a couple years now. Never had a single issue. I’m not rubbing the stuff against the carpet lol.

Plus, doesn’t the chasis of a computer/XBox act as a ground when you touch it as long as it’s not against something like a carpet?

I dont use them either unless im working with something expensive or fixing something for someone besides myself.

If the metal chassis is plugged into a grounded outlet and you touch the chassis to ground yourself, than you’re fine.

Today’s electronics are really robust, but it can still happen.

Interesting…but yeah, I have one somewhere in my tech drawer but I’ve never used it lol.
