I’m actually agreeing with pjb here on this.

How does one manage to fit a fuel oil nozzle into a gasoline powered vehicle these days???.Manufactures make the gas opening physically smaller by a good 1/2" and it’s impossible to make it fit. Moreso the fuel tube flapper valves(that keep debris out) that open from the gasoline nozzle would not have done so with this and someone trying to just flow the fuel into the tank would have made a damn huge mess, unless they intentionally jammed something in there to keep it open and even then it still would have made a huge mess as fuel oil flow out faster than gasoline from the pumps…

The spark wont burn the diesel. Flush the fuel system the best you can. Some seafoam may help clean the injectors. I would take the exaust down before the cats when you do start and run the engine. The diesel shouldn’t hurt the engine but be prepared to replace spark plugs, injectors, O2 sensors, pre-cats, and catalytic converters. Thats where the diesel may hurt things.

Not all diesel pumps are large nozzles are large, only the high flow ones for the rigs.

i would not worry too much about damage to the engine really considering diesel is just oil.

from all the pumps i’ve fueled up, the diesel nozzles are bigger… the ones at hess are just a little bit bigger, but the ones at stewarts and shit and the huge nozzles.

when i had my tdi swapped mk2, it had the gas filler neck in it and i was able to jam the hess nozzle in so it worked.

I think the easiest fix would be to first turn in your license and then sell the car. You’re obviously not qualified to be on the roads.

interesting. I’ve never seen these small filler handles for fuel, but then again I only buy diesel from places where traffic is high(truck stops, big hess stations, etc) so I know I’m getting fresh stuff in the tank at all times.

true diesel fillers are usually larger. but not all race gas nozzles are larger. ive pumped race gas into my tank numerous times, no funnel required

Yeah, I used to get diesel all over the place with the old work truck, and I have seen plenty of regular sized gas pumps for diesel

Then pull plugs out and use a fiberoptic cam to look into the motor, if its all shit covered, gotta open it, right? My friend also told me that after replacing the fuel delivery system, use a little bit of alky and take off the brake booster line, let the motor suck up some of that to clear the diesel out, also put some octane booster and alky in the tank, get some sea foam as well. That should be able to clear the engine, rite?

Way overkill, might as well torch the car, fuck it.

BTW not all vehicles have the little flap valve thing in the filler neck anymore. My truck doesnt have one and it was never supposed to.
