# G6 GT Panoramic Sunroof Problems

My women has a 06 G6 GT with the multi piece sunroof. Its leaking bad and isnt under warranty anymore. Have you guys had the same problem? Is there a better rubber seal? or a way to tighten it down to the car to keep wind/water from coming in.

Check the drain tubes in the front of the sunroof. Sometimes they can come off.

Ugh… why does it not surprise me that GM could fuck up something so simple as putting a clamp on that drain tube to hold it in place?
In addition to them coming unhooked you may also want to check if they’re clogged, especially if the car sat outside when the leaves were falling.

The panoramic sunroof is riddled with issues from what I have read. My GF looked at one, but after researching the issues with them, decided against it. She just got an 07 With the regular roof.
As for the drains, I don’t think that is the issue, but rather the seals on the panoramic roof drying out/shrinking/cracking. I have hear people have had to condition them to keep them from drying out.
Check out the site listed about. we found some decent info on there about it.

nice writeup nut thats not what i was trying to explain.
the the seal around the glass to the roof, it blows. literally.
i can see plenty of day light when its closed and the wind/rain come right in the gap
