# Garage door openers: Recommend me something.

It’s a cheap excuse but Father’s day is coming up and I wanna get a  
garage door opener. Been wanting to for ages but dad never agreed to it  
because he was always afraid it might malfunction and trap him in (or out). :roll:

So anywho, budget is around **_$200-$300 (after tax)_** for a  
simple door opener with at least 2 remotes and basic features I suppose.

I know you can’t go wrong with Craftsman units so what’s your take on  
them? There seems to be a good Craftsman unit on sale for $229:

If you do recommend something, please tell me where you bought it, and  
for how much. And I’m probablly going to do the install myself (shouldn’t be that hard, is it?).

I just picked that one up 2weeks ago, install is straight forward.  
ranges is good, two remotes. you can never get stuck in or out with those  
becasue they all have emergency releases.

problem solved!
