I mean its not glorious and all but if it is just a means to earn $ while in school I think its ok. Besides sometimes a shitty job can provide great motivation to do good in school to provide a better future. ---

honestly, go take a course at ECC and be an EMT. Obviously you dont have to be a total brain genius, because I can do it. But I get paid a good amount of money and I usually spend most of my shift either sitting on a couch in our building watching tv and/or sleeping, or sitting in a parking lot somewhere in a nice air conditioned ambulance either sleeping or stealing some1’s unsecured wireless and surf the web on my laptop. During school its great because by the end of my shift I usually have all my homework done and get a good amount of studying done, and I’m getting paid the whole time. Yeah, occasionally you have to work and deal with some “stuff” but I like it and to me its the perfect job to get me through school. just my .02 ---

I am not going to read all of this, but i met a guy that told me first he was a garbageman in NYC due to the pay. He followed that up by telling me he was a full time lawyer and was using the money to fund starting his own practice. I didn’t laugh, I was actually impressed by the drive. But personally I would never do it. ---
