That’s a bullshit policy! Why should the fucking government get all that money? Fuck the government, if you are caught gouging, then you should be required to LOWER your price by the same amount that you RAISED it and for the same time period. So if those crooks added $1 a gallon for 2 days, then they would be required to cut the price $1 a gallon under where they were for the same period of 2 days. Wonder how much business they would get if they had to sell gas for 2 days at $2.66…hehehhe…bet they would be petty busy.
Wonder how many stations would pull that kind of shit then…LOL

After doing some research they companies aren’t fined 25k but 1k for every person that complains about the gouge and if found guilty has to pay.

Also there were only 10 oil rigs shut down/destroyed out of almost 200 in the gulf so that really isn’t going to effect the price of gas.

We wont, its not that simple. It will need to stay that low for a while or just keep declining on average. We probably wont see fuel under 3 dollars a gallon for a long time, if ever.

um… sheetz in pl. hills gets filled like 3 times a day… so i bet they just stop ordering fuel during that 2 days that they are suppose to keep it 1 buc under… and oh no… no more gass for that amount.

Why is it that gas stayed reletively the same throughout the 80’s and 90’s even though we had hurricanes then? It seems since Katrina, they have an excuse that hurricanes will cause gas prices to go up. I left here Friday and gas was $3.79 for premium and that afternoon when I got to Columbus, gas was $4.19 for premium. It was $3.45 only 2 days earlier. Why? It was the same gas. Fuck foreign oil.

Not if the iron fist of government mandated they stay open. They could be jailed for contempt if they didnt comply.
hyabusa03rx checked into the fine as he said, and it’s $1K per person that complains. Then i think the person who got gouged should get $900, and let the government have $100 to pay for their paperwork. That sounds fair to me…LOL

Total refineries destroyed is up to 25, but still not that many when there are plenty more out there.

Price for premium is still $3.89 at the same gas station. Hopefully it’ll drop on monday.
