# Gas trap door missing..

I was helping my gf to pump gas on her car. When i open the gas tank cap, i’d noticed this gas trap door missing. I dont know if this is the right term for that thing. It’s this piece of metal that prevents you from dropping at crap into the gas tank. Is it possible that piece of metal might fell into the gas tank? Can it get stuck on the fuel pump?
