As cars get older they develop rattles and squeaks. Vibrations, road noise, exhaust noise, engine noise, etc. can be prevented by using sound deadening. For those of you with stereos, you will notice significant gains as this deadening will help block out roadnoise which lets you hear more music. Aside from eliminating road noise, FatMat acts as an insulator, which can help keep your car warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The installed weight is 23lbs for 100sqft according to the website. Anyways, I am not a FatMat rep, nor am I trying to sell you on this product. I am simply here to set up a group buy, so that anyone who wants this stuff can get it at a good price. For more info on the product checkout [www.fatmat.com](http://www.fatmat.com) The FatMat is sold in 36sqft and 100sqft portions. 100sqft is enough to do the entire floor and doors of your car. 200sqft should be enough to do the entire floor, firewall, doors, roof, and trunk area as well as doubleup in weakspots and make the car super quiet. If we get enough people we can just order the larger size 100sqft rolls and divide it when it comes in. The price is $99.99USD plus 29.99USD shipping to begin with. Since it is comming from the United States, there will obviously be customs charges. If we can order 1000sqft, I am sure we can get a large enough discount to cover the customs charges, so I am aiming for a final price of $130USD or less which converts to about **$165CAD per 100sqft**. Reviews I have done say this is nearly as good as DynaMat at a fraction of the cost. DynaMat sells for about $4USD or more per square foot, whereas this stuff will be $1USD per square foot. Some people have said b-quiet is better, some have said FatMat. At half the price I’m guessing b-quiet is better than FatMat, but I am also sure that 2 layers of FatMat would be better than b-quiet. So per $1 you get more if you go with FatMat. ---

The price posted was an estimate. I am sure the final price would be no more than $175cad per 100sqft. You aren’t committed until I place the order. ---

Okay I contacted FatMat today and inquired about a bulk discount. I was right, in order to get it we need to order 1000sqft. It will come in 10 100sqft rolls. The discounted price for it is 15% off which makes it $84.99US for each 100sqft. Shipping is $180US to Niagra, or $360US to Toronto. Split between everyone that is going to be $18 per 100sqft or $36 per 100sqft. Unless I can find someone in Niagra to bring this stuff over the border we will just go with the $360USD for shipping. Then there is customs. On a $1000 order it would be about $150 for both brokerage and customs. If we add it all up, it will be $850 for the sound dampening, $360 for shipping, and lets say $140 for customs just to make it a round number. Thats a total of $1350. Converted to CAD it is about $1750. Divide it all up, and it is about $175CAD per 100sqft. I thought we could do a little better, but it turns out shipping on it is expensive, it would be about 300lbs all together, and 1000sqft rolled up is still quite a lot of volume.
