Take a look at Spartan leather $799 custom made to your size race suit; I think you can get 2pc instead of 1pc for the same price, then you can have a custom jacket for street.

bumpity bump
Got some new gear today:) my friend who is also a new rider needed to get his gear so i went with him to look, or so i thought, lol, There is a pair of gloves i liked(sick of skimping on then) exspeccially since this is my first season I like the peace of mind that I am protected more. I picked up ICON twentyniner gloves and then i figured ill go full red on my gear to match my lid lol, ended up buying a new riding jacket that was calling my name, Castle, turbine model? so now im all red on my gear lol. to a question now that my top half is protected whats some good riding shoes/boots to rock? also input on the fact all i ever wear is jeans?

As a fat guy with short legs, its been difficult. so far Joe rocket phoenix 3.0, and icon compound pants didnt fit right. trying olympia airglide3s next

dude i love the helmet and boots! all my gear is new this season lol, this is my first season… I bought my HJC lid and a zero-60 jacket first and I love my helmet but my jacket was way to heavy and bulky, felt like i was wearing football amor lol… this castle jacket had the same amount of protection in same key areas but alot more comfortable to wear, i dont feel like Michelin man anymore lol. and i got the Icon gloves cause wearing thing cotton gloves felt skecthy. also thou prolly no safe but i just been wearing like regualr HD work shoes lol

finally got my smoked shield from motochanic after a month of screw ups and delays in shipping (i bought my helmet at their shop in west new york, and had some store credit to use)

I am new to the forum ride a duel sport bike and a woman who has been a rider for over 40 years, Gear that fits is STill after all these years a bit harder to find.
For the last 8 years I have worn Oxtar ( which is now TCX )
Infinity GTX Touring Boots.
I love them.Some of the best money I have ever spent. They are a nice height, fit UNDER my First Gear HT over pants, great for walking around ( I do long distance a couple of times a year) They are waterproof and I can adjust the buckle across my left foot when an old injury flares up and the foot swells which pretty much is after 200 miles in the saddle.

Now that you have had them for a little while would you please do a review on them. What do you like or dislike about them?
Are you an around town rider or do you do long trips? Are they comfortable to walk around a bit in them? When touring I sometimes want to walk a trail to see a vista etc.
Are they waterproof? Rain does not deter me when on a trip.

Reading your post I was just about to ask about longevity but since you asked about the Sidi’s I’ll explain why.
I can contribute to review of Sidi Vertigo’s as these are the boots I have
I’ve done likely around ~15,000 miles on them and 3,700 miles in one trip. I personally love them _but_ they tend to have longevity issues. This is my third year on them and I wear them every time I ride. While they hold up great in a crash (one at the track, one in the adirondacks) their sole tends to wear out rather quick, especially for a day walker (if you spend all day walking everywhere in them). I’ve actually had to glue the tip of the sole back on as it started coming off and the sole is wearing through simply by wear and tear.
In the summer they cool well due to the vents (really do help) but they aren’t water proof. Water resistant (being a full boot an all) at best. But they are quite comfortable to walk in and I typically don’t have a problem spending all day in them. There were instances when I’d ride my bike somewhere, hop into a friends car (not having a spare set of shoes on me) and spend the rest of the day going around town etc in the boots.

I haven’t ridden the Adventures enough miles to give any kind of longevity review, but I will say that the sole on them can be replaced when they do wear out. sidi sells pretty much every part that could break as well.
They are waterproof, and they also sell an upmodel Adventure gor-tex which is supposed to be even better. I havent had mine in water yet, but reviews say you can stand in the water with them and stay dry.
I ride street (except for the .5 mile long dirt road my garage is on) and I got these so I can wear them to work and school without switching footwear. The couple times I have done so thus far, I havent had any complaints about all day comfort. I will update once I get some more miles under them
The only gripe I have, and you’ll see it in every review of these, is that they squeek loudly while walking. I bought some fluid film (parrafin lubricant) to spray in the hinge, hopefully that quiets it down alot.

All my new gear arrived this week. For the summer, I’ll be in Textile. Saving up for a 1-piece track suit is the current agenda.
Helmet: AGV GP-Tech Rossi 5-Continents
Jacket: Alpinestars T-GP Plus Air Jacket
Gloves: Dainese VR46 Sport Gloves
Pants: AGVSport Telluride H20 Textile Pants (Bought these last season)
Boots: Cortech Latigo Air RR Boots (Bought these last season)
(The color of the gloves & jacket match almost perfectly! Looks like they were made to go together.)

Thank you for such a quick response.
I look forward to your review in November when I know most, not me. (when possible I try and ride year round) people have but their bikes up for the season.
The Sidi Vertigo are NOT on my short list but thank you for your input.One of the “must have” on my list is a waterproof boot.
My Oxtars are still in very good shape. I just like to be planning ahead and have options when the time comes.
