Your comment about the Meguiar’s is dead on though…Here’s what I learned about Meguiar’s: They have a few different lines of products, one of them is a professional line, the others are more mainstream I believe. The bottle we’re used to seeing is packaged in red bottles - the kind you can buy anywhere, and most of that line has silicone in all of it. Of course, silicone + car = BAD Then there’s another line, a professional line that is in a beige bottle that has no silicone anywhere in the products. So anyone who buys the bottles off the shelves of a ‘normal’ store is getting silicone and it’s eating paint and rubber.
