exhaust hangars are rubber, they give and compensate for any small amount of movement. Most, if not all, stock exhausts do not use any sort of flex pieces.

my sentra came with one…hmmm idk, it was replaced though maybe they just put that in there, but i dont have any problems with leaking with my exhaust, has a flex pipe on the down pipe and then rubber hangers from the cat back

i know he did use some hangers so maybe thats enough. its not sum monster torque motor.
so it should be fine.

almost ALL honda’s use them. It really depends on how the engine is mounted. If you notice most RWD vehicles don’t have them but FWDs do. Because of the way the engine naturally moves when producing torque.
It would also depend upon the rest of the exhaust system and how it is mounted as to whether or not they are actually needed.

go to know and surprising since Hondas are one of the least torquey engines out there, haha. Do the engine mounts suck that bad?

_shrug_ we had them on our old mercury wagon, the escort, the eclipse, the tercel, echo, camry and the A6.

you’ve seen the stock exhausts on all of your family’s cars???
well my limited experience is with much “sportier” cars

thats an interesting ball and socket, normally you see them with floating flanges and spring bolts. not completely overlapping like that.

well it is an awe tuning exhaust pictured, so its certainly far from junk. that ball/ socket isn’t like the conventional ones with a donut/ flanges/ springs…
thanks for the compliment on the rims. the sooner i sell them, the sooner i’ll have tires for my 5 series summer wheels.
i was just there hangin with jay a few hours ago, and he told me about your exhaust. i hear it sounds quite sick. interested in hearing a side exit on a swift 🙂

My turbo civic cracked the down pipe flange because there was no flex pipe.
