This seemed like a good time to post this… I have a 14Kw Generac whole house standby generator. It was hit by a fork truck and has some scratches/dents on it. In no way will this impede on it’s function. You will need an automatic transfer switch to make this work and I have a whole array of those in different sizes and styles to suit your needs. I will sell one of those at distributor cost +5% (basically giving it away) because you took my scratched unit. I will deliver nearly anywhere in western new york with a lift gate truck. The standard size for a 1500-2000sqft home is often a 7kw, but some people like to have EVERYTHING work when the power goes out. I will go grab some pictures. ---

I know people love overkill. IIRC My house is not even 3500 with the air conditioning running. lol ---

I have this exact unit and it’s amazing. I’ve been told its plenty to run our entire house less the AC units. Question for the all knowing… What do you expect this unit to cost in natural gas to run for an entire day at 1/2 load? Just wondering since we may have to use it for an extended period of time this week. ---

The damage is really minor, but the customer requested that we get him a new undamaged unit so I did and am now sitting on this one. Hence selling it for cheap. ---------- Post added at 12:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:07 PM ---------- At full load it consumes 139 cu. ft/hr of Natural Gas. I am not sure of gas costs to do the math at the moment. ---

I had a hard time getting up to 7000w even with the air conditioning option.lol I guess if you turn on everything electrical in your house at one time you will need a big generator. Here are standard prices: **8/7Kw** NYSpeed (at my cost): $1,871.90 My normal resale is $1,959.00 **14/13Kw (The size in this post)** NYSpeed (at my cost): $2,812.75 My normal resale is $2,945.00 **17/16Kw** NYSpeed (at my cost): $3,240.55 My normal resale is $3,391.00 This price does not include a transfer switch as there are numerous options for them and all are different prices. ---
