Looks like Buffalo finally realized what a cash cow ticket reductions are. They’re making a big push to get a proper court system in place so they can start offering traffic ticket reductions like all the burbs do. If you’re not aware, a NY traffic ticket sends almost all the fine to the state while a ticket reduced to parking or some other local ordinance keeps they money for the city/town. While it will be great to finally be able to get reductions in Buffalo I’m sure BPD will be under huge pressure to write more tickets now. Cops have been everywhere downtown lately. Saw 3 people pulled over on the 33 in a 10 minute commute. ---

There’s an asshole cop that only hands out stop sign tickets all day long. He stopped me at for a rolling stop, I went to court and there were 4 other people with the same ticket by him. Other than that, BPD gives no fucks. ---

I have seen people get pulled over for things like this before but usually the cop just bitches at them for being stupid and lets them go. Must be a really pissed off cop. ---

My wife’s registration and inspection are up to date and current and she still got a ticket for expired registration while parked on bidwell. Buffalo cops don’t give a fuck and just want to make money. But when you need help they have no problem telling you “sorry there is nothing we can do” ---

Just another money maker for local government. So how is making a cell phone call different than eating a sandwich, or pushing buttons on your car stereo? They are all distractions. What about having a toddler in the back seat of the car, screaming? Why is that not a ticket-able offence? Toddler is distracting the driver. Cell phone bans are not about safety, they are about getting money for broke governments. ---

But when you need help they have no problem telling you “sorry there is nothing we can do” Those tickets are done by parking enforcement who sole purpose is to write tickets. BPD patrol doesn’t write parking tickets. What time did they not help you? I people think cops are superheros sometimes by the lack of detail they have about a crime and expect a result. Still don’t see any BPD cop shifting their duties to writing traffic tickets. Lol to go to Texas? Texas has the largest militarized police force in the country. More ex military trained personnel and more military grade hardware exists in Texas than any other state. Pretty much has relabeled the military as “Police”. ---
