other good downfall points no camera/webcam…netbooks have that no multitasking means you can’t steam pandora while you work on it no Flash ---

A tablet PC is a crappy substitute for a kindle type product. e-ink = no backlighting = no eye strain so you can comfortably read books on it. ---

No multi-tasking No camera Really gonna be weird to type on As of right now, the 3G version is only AT&T… I’d like to try one, but probably won’t buy ---

So they’ve got an ipod and an ipad. Now they just need an iped (pedal…bicycle) ipid (lipid…body fat scale), and my favorite and iPud (pull your pud… dildo). ---

Cool idea but FAIL for the already mentioned reasons… price, AT&T, no cam/webcam, NO MULTITASKING? LOL. To all of the Iphone fans, don’t expect the Iphone 4g to have multitasking either. This would have had it if the Iphone was going to… my guess anyways. ---

Not supporting flash is awesome. Flash sucks. It was a bandaid to try and fix the internet years ago and it is no longer needed. Even video, it’s last core use is going away due to native video support in HTML5. Also, the core reason why flash will not work with touch devices is due to the fundamental interfaces that flash is designed to work with. Mouse, Keyboard. Not touch/gesture interface. Apple is doing us a favor by accelerating the decline in flash’s use as a development platform. ---

Ask the web developers who struggle to make their pages compatible with IE5 because they still get hits on their site from legacy browsers. They are not doing you ANY favors ---

Ok I got off the phone with my developer friend who actually was there. So far I am pretty torn between it and here is my info. Pros: Awesome interface (just like the iphone/itouch multi touch) WiFi and 3G capable with instant activation right on the device AppStore apps work on it so you can transfer your purchases right to it from your iPhone 1.5 lbs so easy to carry around a plane or travel with Cool notification system for quick replying to emails similar to Android message interface (hopefully see this in the new iPhone OS) Cons: Too big to fit in pocket and need a case so you dont break the screen No HD resolution native No HD output to TV Not a true tablet (no stylus for custom writing or drawing) No multi tasking No flash No camera Over all its a cool device but more of a novelty then something useful. The interface is slick and if you like the iPhone OS its pretty sweet but is really missing some “game changing” functions and additions to make it better than a netbook. It still is a lit screen so if you want to read books, you may be better getting a kindle for a more natural approach. If you want to just watch movies, you may be limited by the storage of the 16GB non upgradable one unless you fork over the cash for the 64GB one which in todays world is still pretty small. ---

I’m not that impressed honestly. I have a touch, it’s ok. I’m actually posting from it right now. It’s super convenient, like I can sit on the couh and check my email when I’m relaxing. This looks like it’s just going to be a pain.
