# GM MAT sensor spec - free custom title

Find me the spec for a GM MAT (manifold air temp) sensor - thermistor.
I need to specifially know what temps (F\*) corresponds to ~43kohm & ~55kohm.
First to post good numbers / link gets a custom title of thier choice.

Which MAT sensor? There’s a bunch of different models and I’m sure they’re all different.
(I know the one on my '97 firebird is different than the integrated one that’s in the Corvette MAF that I use)

yeah thx,
I’ll just save my title until I think of a good one.
Not like it took any time, it was the first result from a google search on exactly what you typed lol, “GM MAT (manifold air temp) sensor - thermistor”. And to be honest, from that chart, I don’t remember how to figure out the exact temps you want…

I can calc the F\* #s, but if you wanna tell me what the output would be for a 5.0vdc input, you can have an e-cookie too. 🙂

are we on a 12v system or running at 18v?

If you’re going by the chart above, you’re looking at it wrong, the chart shows resistance, not voltage.

I’m rather rusty, but I believe the voltage would vary depending on the application. If you are using it on an EEC-IV I can probably figure it out, otherwise I’m drawing a blank.

wat? It’s been a while since I used anything more then the basics of Ohms law.
I’m running 5v into the sensor, the sensor is a 43kohm load, what is the output voltage?
MS1, EECIV adaptor box. vref is 5v (4.9 actual).
-40\* IATs = 10:1 afr idle. ☹

I’m just going to base this on something I found regarding a [similar setup](http://www.diyautotune.com/tech_articles/megasquirting_your_ford_with_the_MegaEFI_EEC-IV_adapter.htm). We are missing the load at the ECU, so I’m going to guess based on the above.
Assuming the load at the ECU itself is around 2490 ohms, and the sensor is at 43k ohms I’m coming up with .25v
