# GM NP136 electronic shift AWD transfer case '98+

This is a unit that was replaced under warranty at a dealer I worked at years ago. If I remember correctly, it was weeping fluid from a small spot on the case that was determined to be a porous casting flaw when GM was having alot of issues with that. I tend to think it was the thrust washer wore a hole thru the case (common issue w these), but I never got a chance to open it up and inspect. So if you can weld/jb weld or epoxy up the bad spot it’s a perfectly good unit otherwise as far as I know.

Ugh I just realized this is still sitting in the back of the shop… Anyone need one of these for any reason? Interested in rebuilding and making a couple bucks?
