It was said if they didnt bail them out, all the unemployed people that used to work for them would have been more expensive as it would cause a domino effect on other parts of the industry either way. Greedy people are what caused all this. putting floor mates in the back of cars all day shouldnt get you 50k+ a year when people doing tie rods and ball joints and head gaskets make alot less and have a harder job and had to learn the skill and get ASE certified… executives are dicks too with there bullshit Jets and shit… Now Yes Ford some how managed to not need to be bailed out, i hope someone SMART can chim in and give me an idea why they are the only ones of the big 3 that didnt need the money. ---

Two years ago, Ford was seen as the riskiest bet in the industry to survive when it mortgaged nearly all its assets, even its blue Ford oval trademark, to secure a huge line of credit. Now, with the collapse of the credit market, G.M. and Chrysler cannot borrow money on their assets. ---
