# God i hate Mustangs......

Well I am pretty sure that year Mustang is COP (coil on plug) so if the coil wasn’t firing you would definitely hear it at idle. As for the injector if it was stuck closed (highly unlikely) it would run like shit at idle, and if it was stuck open it would flood the cylinder key on, be hard to start and you would definitely smell fuel in the oil, not to mention the misfire because that cylinder would be unable to ignite that volume of fuel (remember vapor burns not liquid). Either way the car would idle like dog shit and the tuner would know something is not right. If you are talking about tolerances in fuel injector flow, you would still only pull an average with a bank wide band reading

When did people start hating P&Js? I thought that was most people’s preferred place for 'stangs locally?
Did I miss some event?

They DO NOT have the ability to burn custom programs for stangs

Get a new Binary file (might find be able to download it from on-line) & hook it to a histogram & monitor the paramaters . Make sure the MAF is a 3 bar & dont go 11.5 or 12.5 a/f.

MAF sensor (Manifold Air Flow) measure incoming air volume, they have no way to measure air pressure

i have no experience with ford modular motors, but i do with 5.0s. Does the MAF have an interchangable sample tube? I remember with the 5.0s, the C&L MAFs had different size sample tubes depending on injector sizes. No clue if that’s the case with yours but if it is, you could have the wrong size…

Mass Air Flow not manifold air flow
MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure
:picard:it reads absolute pressure inside the intake and the atmosphere,this info determines the density of air entering the cumbustion chamber and is used to calculate air/fuel mixture also used to adjust the AIS motorat idle. The vehicle computer calculates how much fuel to deliver to the engine based on the amount of load being applied to the engine. The computer uses manifold pressure, barometric pressure, engine RPM and throttle angle to determine engine load. Fuel ratio and spark timing are then fine tuned by the computer using additional sensors, this also helps to control fuel economy and emissions. Unless it’s a speed density most vehicles use a Mass Air Flow sensor to measure the amount of air entering the engine (as if you didn’t already know), this also is used to determine engine load, in some cases there may be a MAP sensor and a MAF sensor. In that configuration the MAP is used for Barometric pressure and is a back up, if the MAF fails

Unlike the previous Xcalibrator, this device features an analog input port to support any 0 to 5 volt device such as a wideband 02 sensor, EGT sensor, or **2/3 bar map sensors (not included**).

I had a voice mail this morinign from my friend. The car is finished, apparently Kennedy told him it was soemthing to do with the intake pipe so he had to make a new one. Car made 380 something and 370 something tq. He really got bent over with the bill though ☹

He made about what i expected. He wouldnt want to make more than 400 wheel anyway, from what i have seen, unless you have God’s own tune, your on borrowed time.

true…400+ on a stock 4.6 is risky risky. That’s pretty much the limit of them.
